About this policy
Advance2Play is an Australian cricket education platform offering programs, lessons, training plans, digital resources and coaching enquiries. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you browse the site, create an account, learn with us, make a purchase or contact us. Our operator and contact details appear alongside this policy.
We respect your privacy and aim to handle information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. Where the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) applies to our business, we comply with its requirements. This policy does not limit any rights you have under Australian law.
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, password in a hashed form, email verification status and optional profile image.
- Purchases and access: order references, products, prices, currency, payment status and the access granted to your learning resources. Stripe processes card details through its hosted checkout; we do not store full card numbers or card security codes.
- Learning activity: lesson and training-step completion, resource access and download records, so we can provide your library, progress and support.
- Enquiries: your name, email, optional phone number, subject and message. Coaching enquiries may also include your role, age group, experience, goals, preferred format, availability and location or timezone.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device information, request logs, session identifiers and security or administrative activity records.
We collect information directly from forms and account activity, automatically as you use the site, and from payment providers confirming transactions. You can browse public pages without an account. You may ask a general question anonymously where practical, but we need enough information to reply, manage purchases or provide account access.
How we use information
We use relevant information to create and secure accounts, fulfil purchases, deliver learning content, record progress, answer enquiries, arrange coaching discussions, provide support, prevent misuse and maintain business records. If required information is not supplied, we may be unable to provide the requested service.
Account, purchase and enquiry messages relate to your use of our services. If we offer promotional email, we will use it only with consent or as otherwise permitted by law and provide a way to unsubscribe. An enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.
Who information is shared with
Relevant information may be available to authorised staff and coaches handling your request, and to providers supporting hosting, email, payment processing, file storage or video delivery. Stripe receives the information needed to process and confirm payments. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, where required by law, or when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud or protect legal rights.
We do not offer your personal information for sale. We limit sharing to what is appropriate for the purpose. Third-party services have their own privacy policies, including Stripe, Google and YouTube and Vimeo.
Cookies, fonts and embedded videos
Our site uses cookies and similar browser storage for functions such as sign-in, session security and navigation. You can manage cookies in your browser, although blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in or checkout from working.
Pages load Google Fonts and may include YouTube or Vimeo players. These providers can receive technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, when their content loads and may use their own cookies. Their privacy settings and policies apply to that processing.
Overseas services
Some providers process or store information outside Australia. Stripe, for example, may process information in the United States and other countries. Google and video providers also operate internationally. The provider and country information listed alongside this policy describes our configured arrangements where known; contact us for details about a particular service.
Where Australian privacy law requires it, we take reasonable steps in relation to overseas disclosures to protect your information. Using this site does not waive your privacy rights or give blanket consent to unrelated overseas disclosures.
Security and retention
We use safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including account authentication, access restrictions and controlled resource delivery. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials private and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services and meet accounting, legal, security and dispute-resolution requirements. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable obligations and backup cycles.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to access or correct your information, or request account closure or deletion, using the contact details on this page. Tell us what you need without sending passwords or card details. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
We will respond within a reasonable period. Some records may need to be retained even after an account is closed. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the reason and available complaint options, subject to lawful exceptions.
Young players
A parent or guardian should manage purchases and coaching arrangements for players under 18. Please share only the information needed for an enquiry and avoid entering medical details or other sensitive information into general message fields. If information about a young player needs correction or removal, their parent or guardian can contact us.
Privacy questions and complaints
Contact us using the privacy email or enquiry link on this page and describe your concern. We will acknowledge the complaint, review the circumstances and aim to respond within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will explain why and keep you informed.
If the matter remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where it has jurisdiction, or another appropriate regulator.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or obligations change. The date shown on this page identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice of material changes where appropriate or required by law.
